Bangkok is full of great malls, from the technology-filled MBK Bangkok Mall to the luxurious Siam Paragon. Malls in the city offer something a little extra though, making them a great place to explore, even when traveling to Bangkok. Of course, ICONSIAM is no different. 

The mall is known for a spectacular floating market on the ground floor but also for some of the best restaurants and river views in the city. So, let’s get exploring!

ICONSIAM Bangkok is located along the Chay Phraya River, in the heart of the city. I is closely located o the high-end luxury hotels and not far from the backpacker area of Khao San Road.

The mall is accessible by road, boat, and the BTS Skytrain (Saphan Taksin station and then a free shuttle boat from Sathorn Pier).

How to get to ICONSIAM Bangkok

There are several ways to get to ICONSIAM in Bangkok, no matter which area of the city you are staying in. 

• By BTS Skytrain and Shuttle Boat: You can take the BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin Station (S6) on the Silom Line then exit at Exit 2 and walk to Sathorn Pier. From there, you can take the free shuttle boat service to ICONSIAM. The boat runs frequently and offers a scenic ride along the Chao Phraya River.

• By Boat: You can use public river boats like the Chao Phraya Express Boat and get off at Sathorn Pier, where you can then take the free shuttle boat to ICONSIAM.

• By Taxi or Car: Flag any taxi and ask your driver to take you to ICONSIAM. The address is 299 Charoen Nakhon Road, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600. If flagging a taxi, make sure they use the meter or you could book a Grab for the journey instead. If you decide to drive, parking is available on-site.

• By Tuk-Tuk or Motorcycle Taxi: These are convenient options if you’re traveling short distances within Bangkok. Just mention “ICONSIAM” as your destination and again, make sure you know the price before you ride. 

Each option depends on where you’re starting, but the shuttle boat is a popular and enjoyable way to get there and is easily accessible via the BTS.

This mall is a premium shopping destination, so you can expect a varied selection of stores, from luxury brands to more local spots.

Notable luxury brands include Rolex and Cartier as well as a bright Apple store, which was the first official Apple store in the city. There is also a fancy Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Hermes.

You will also find your western brands like H&M and Uniqlo, as well as some local places like ICONACTIVE, which sells fitness and lifestyle brands, and ICONCRAFT, which showcases local Thail products and art.

ICONSIAM Bangkok has some great restaurants to choose from and is often the reason we find ourselves in the mall. There are plenty to choose from but here are some of the best:

• Jumbo Seafood: Famous for its Singaporean-style seafood dishes.
• BLUE by Alain Ducasse: A fine dining restaurant by the renowned chef Alain Ducasse; this is a Michelin-star restaurant that needs to be on your list. 
• GREAT HARBOUR: An international buffet restaurant with a wide variety of cuisines; ideal for couples and one of the more romantic things to do in Thailand.
• D’ARK: A stylish café located in The Veranda, offering stunning river views and popular dishes like Mentaiko Spaghetti alongside a variety of specialty coffees. This is also one of the more romantic restaurants in Bangkok too
• Starbucks Reserve® Chao Phraya Riverfront: Don’t get grumpy that I have included Starbucks on the list, but this place has your typical coffee bu wih incredible scenic river views. 
• Thipsamai Pad Thai (ทิพย์สมัยผัดไทยประตูผี): Located in the Alangkarn Zone, this restaurant serves authentic Pad Thai, bringing the flavors of traditional Thai street food to a modern setting.
• % Arabica: A minimalist coffee shop on the first floor, known for its exceptional specialty coffee and a serene environment for coffee lovers. There are a few of these cafes around the city and this is our fave. This is one of the best coffee shops in Bangkok too!
• Greyhound Café (เกรฮาวด์คาเฟ่): This trendy café on the sixth floor combines Thai and international flavors.
