Finding somewhere that serves good quality vegan and vegetarian food in Bangkok is always one of the biggest concerns for plant-based travelers, as not every destination offers a particularly impressive line-up of animal-free eateries.

Luckily, this won’t be something you need to worry about in Bangkok. In fact, Thailand is among the most vegan-friendly countries you could visit, and the capital is home to tonnes of fabulous places serving up local and international dishes, vegan-style.

No matter what corner of the city you find yourself in, you’ll likely never be too far from some of the best vegan restaurants in Bangkok.

Best Vegan Restaurants in Bangkok

VEGANARIE Concept

VEGANERIE Concept

With over 150 plant-based dishes to its name, VEGANERIE Concept rightfully deserves its title as the best of the best when it comes to vegan restaurants in Bangkok. There are plenty of unique cafes in Bangkok and this is one of our fave, no matter if you are vegan or not!

The variety of dishes is so incredible here that you’ll have a hard time choosing between a green curry, a carbonara, or something from the all-day breakfast menu. However, it’s their meat-free pulled pork burger that I always find myself going back to.

Trust me when I say you most certainly don’t have to be vegan to find a bunch of dishes you love here.

Though their CONCEPT branch is their best-known spot, Veganerie has eight locations throughout the city.

We wrote a full restaurant review for Veganerie for those interested in visiting.

Address: 35 2 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Tan, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

Operating Hours: 9.30AM – 10PM (opens daily)

Bonita Cafe and Social Club

Bonita Cafe and Social Club

The adorable Bonita Cafe and Social Club looks more like a vintage tea room than a contemporary vegan restaurant.

During your visit, you can tuck into their take on a classic English breakfast, a healthy teriyaki burger, and sweet desserts that won’t have you feeling overcome with guilt afterward.

No visit to Bonita is complete without meeting the cafe’s three cats, often called the real owners of this super cute spot.

Address: 100 Soi Pramote (Silom Soi 26), Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand

Operating Hours: 9.30AM – 9.30PM (closes on Tuesdays)

Ethos Vegetarian Restaurant

A huge range of vegan and vegetarian eats are available at Ethos, a much-loved meat-free restaurant for years now.

This is the kind of place you come to when you’re not too sure what you’re craving. Very few eateries can offer falafel, vegetarian lasagne, plant-based burgers, and pure fruit juices and do them all so well. Ethos is especially great if you’re trying to stick to clean eating, as they have heaps of nutrient-packed shakes and superfood bowls.

Something I love about Ethos is their dining options, as you’ll have the choice of standard seating or low tables surrounded by comfy floor cushions.

Address: 85/2, Wat Bowon Niwet, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand

Operating Hours: 7.30AM – 11.45PM (closes on Sundays)

May Veggie Home

May Veggie Home

May Veggie Home has some gorgeous Western options, but they’re best known for their mouthwatering Thai food.

You can expect favorites like pineapple fried rice, crispy spring rolls, and spicy papaya salad, but you have to try their tofu khao soi, which I think is some of the best outside of northern Thailand.

If you have any room left after your Thai feast, treat yourself to some of their ice cream or a dessert from the on-site bakery, all of which are vegan, of course. The chocolate brownie has never once disappointed me, but the coconut cake is also just as heavenly.

Address: 738 Sukhumvit 101 Alley, Khwaeng Bang Chak, Khet Phra Khanong, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10260, Thailand

Operating Hours: 10AM – 9PM (opens daily)

Vistro-Vegan Cafe & Restaurant

The aptly named vegan bistro, Vistro, has been named Bangkok’s top vegan restaurant on more than one occasion.

When you have a hankering for pizza, this place will be exactly what you’re looking for, and the truffle oil edition is particularly tasty. However, there’s much more to Vistro than pizzas, as the dumplings and tacos are just as sensational.

This is also one of the few places I’ve seen that take meat substitutes up a notch, as they even offer a Wagyu sandwich.

Address: 46/1 Sukhumvit 24 Alley, Khlong Tan, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

Operating Hours: 11AM – 8.45PM (opens daily)

Mango Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurant and Arts Gallery

Mango Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurant and Arts Gallery

A fabulous plant-based spot that you have to check out if you’re in the Old Bangkok area is Mango.

The rustic interior is oh-so-pretty, and the colorful plates look almost too good to eat. Take one look at the edible summer rolls or the cashew curry salad, and you’ll see what I mean. They’ve also become popular for their selection of kombucha and freshly pressed juices.

Mango always feels cozy and homely, partly because you have to dine Thai-style and take off your shoes before you come inside.

Address: 13 Thanon Tanao, Wat Bowon Niwet, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand

Operating Hours: 11AM – 9PM (closes on Wednesdays)

Govinda Vegan Restaurant in Bangkok

Govinda Vegan Restaurant in Bangkok

Bangkok’s go-to spot for veggie or vegan Italian food has to be Govinda, where you’ll have dozens of fresh plates of pasta and pizzas to pick from.

All of Govinda’s dishes are vegetarian-friendly, and the majority of them can be made vegan, too, including their beloved lasagne, risottos, and creamy soups.

The restaurant itself always has a lovely, chilled-out atmosphere, and the staff couldn’t be any more attentive.

Address: 6/5-6 Sukhumvit Alley 22, Khlong Tan, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

Operating Hours: 12 – 3PM, 4 – 10PM (opens daily)

Vegano Bangkok

Speaking of Italian food, Vegano is a veggie restaurant that just might give Govinda’s a run for its money.

This stylish little haunt has a mix of indoor and outdoor seating where you can munch on dreamy vegan pasta with your choice of sauce, a tonne of different pizzas, and Beyond Meat sandwiches. If you’re looking for something a little lighter, fear not, as they have plenty of healthy quinoa bowls to choose from.

For top-tier comfort food, generous portions, and very reasonable prices, it doesn’t get much better than Vegano,

Operating Hours: 10AM – 11.55PM (opens daily)

Broccoli Revolution

Broccoli Revolution

The team at Broccoli Revolution has a passion for creating nourishing dishes using the freshest of ingredients, and all of their food is bursting with color and flavor.

Pretty much any meal you can think of has been remade in the healthiest, tastiest way possible at Broccoli Revolution, and the setting is also stunning, with high ceilings, vibrant green plants, and exposed red brick walls.

In terms of food, you’ll take your pick from Thai classics like laab and spicy curry or international eats, including quesadillas and spaghetti bolognese, but their signature burgers are an exceptionally popular choice.

Address: 899 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

Operating Hours: 10AM – 9PM (opens daily)

The Vegan Table

The Vegan Table

Italian, Mexican, and Thai delights get a meat-free makeover at The Vegan Table.

Before we get into the food, it’s worth mentioning that The Vegan Table has regular happy hours, meaning you’ll get two for the price of one of their amazing cocktails. I can personally vouch for the berry mojito and the pineapple daiquiri.

When you fancy going for something local, the tempeh tom yum soup will hit the spot, while their most tantalizing Western options include the vegan pepperoni pizza and the sourdough B.L.T.

They even have vegan cheeseboards and pancakes if you’re still a little peckish after dinner.

Address: 33 30 Soi Sukhumvit 11, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

Operating Hours: 12PM – 10PM Sunday – Thursday, 12PM – 11PM Friday – Saturday (opens daily)

So Vegan

So Vegan

The city is known for it’s Bangkok Night Markets, and So Vegan makes it easier for Vegan eaters to enjoy street food too.

Simply transforming all the finest Thai classics into vegan alternatives is what So Vegan is all about.

Satay, pad Thai, noodle soup, and pad kaprow are all available here and are definitely their tastiest offerings. They have a couple of Western options, too, including burgers and fries, but the regional favorites are what these guys do best.

This super-casual spot serves its food buffet-style, and you’ll have your pick of three dishes for less than 100 Thai baht, making it one of the cheapest vegan restaurants in Bangkok.

So Vegan has another location in the Sukhumvit area if that’s more convenient for where you’re staying.

Address: F2-14, 15 Charoen Krung Road, Bangkok 10100, Thailand

Operating Hours: 10AM – 8PM (Opens Daily)

Began Vegan

Began Vegan is a must for plant-based eaters with a sweet tooth.

Their cheesecakes, cupcakes, and cinnamon rolls are to die for, but don’t skip out on their main courses and savory options, as they’re just as delicious. Burgers and pasta are on offer for anyone stopping by for dinner, but smaller plates like cauliflower bites and soups are also available.

Thanks to its proximity to a bunch of sites like Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, this is the perfect spot to stop for a quick coffee and dessert while you give your feet a rest.

Address: 71-73 Soi Tha Suphan, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand

Operating Hours: 10.30AM – 6PM (Opens Daily)
