The first thing that strikes you as the elevator doors open? The panoramic slice of Gulf of Thailand that stretches endlessly toward the horizon.

Whether it’s the late-afternoon glow or the twinkling lights of the town below at night, the scenery here is genuinely special — and exactly what you’re paying for.

There’s a definite elegance here — think smart casual attire, soft house music brushing the background, and a relaxed, almost leisurely pace. It’s not a pulsing party rooftop, nor does it aspire to be one. Instead, the bar leans into a sophisticated chill: cushioned seats, sweeping views, and that magical “golden hour” glow that photographers love. 

That said, the energy can vary. One traveler found the setting almost guarded and quiet, with sparse seating and a vibe more like an upscale hotel lounge than a buzzing bar — so don’t expect a nightclub scene up here.

The cocktail menu reads like a roster of classics and creative blends, alongside wines and premium spirits that match the bar’s upscale leanings. During happy hour (often around 5–6 PM), it’s a lovely place to start the night with a refreshing aperitif as the sun dips.

Service is generally friendly and attentive — a hallmark of Hilton hospitality — and staff seem comfortable answering questions about drinks or recommending sips to pair with the evening view. 

But let’s keep it real: not all experiences here are perfect. Some visitors have noted that drinks can sometimes arrive a little less than impressive — like a gin and tonic that looks great on the menu but lands slightly flat in the glass — so temper expectations if you’re after mind-blowing mixology.

Our Review

The rooftop bar at White Lotus is one of Hua Hin’s most scenic sundowner spots. If you’re after uninterrupted ocean views, a comfortable place to catch the sunset, and a relaxed evening with a cocktail in hand, this is a memorable stop. It’s elegant rather than over-the-top, more “date-night chill” than “party central,” and certainly worth a visit if you’re staying in town or at the Hilton.

If you’re after loud music, a packed crowd, or standout bartending theatrics, you might find the vibe a bit subdued — but that’s also part of its quiet charm. We visited with my in-laws during their visit and this was the perfect place to relax, unwind and sip cocktails after a busy day seeing all the things to do in Hua Hin.
